Dr. Klemm uses the following chiropractic techniques:
Logan Basic Technique:Developed by Dr. Hugh B. Logan, DC, this technique utilizes the sacrotuberous ligament as a mechanism to relax the ligaments of the entire spine in a soft and effective manner. This technique is gentle and specific and allows for the alignment of the spine without the “cracking” sound that many people expect when an adjustment is performed.
Diversified Technique: Developed by Dr. D.D. Palmer, DC, the Diversified Technique is the classic chiropractic technique taught in all chiropractic colleges. It involves the manipulation and adjustment of the spinal column. The focus is on restoration to normal biomechanical function and correction of subluxation. In addition, Diversified methods have been developed to adjust extremity joints, allowing for beneficial applications in treating sports injuries and other injuries.
Activator Method Technique:Developed by Dr. Arlan Fuhr, DC and Dr. Warren C. Lee, DC, the Activator Method Technique involves analyzing the length of the legs and determining whether a pelvic deficiency is present. Since each person stands and holds their hips in a different way, the result can be excessive pressure on one side. Over time, a difference in leg length may contribute to pain in the hips and leg joints. The Activator Methods Technique aims to restore the body by correcting vertebral and pelvic misalignments using an Activator mallet to push and set the joints back into the correct position.
Flexion Distraction Technique: The Flexion Distraction Technique is a non-invasive means to treat low back pain. This technique is especially useful for disc herniations, bulges, and spinal stenosis. Flexion Distraction uses a specialized table that creates negative pressure in the disc. This is necessary to allow for the disc bulge/herniation to regress so as to help restore proper joint function, reduce inflammation and pain, and allow for better movement.
